Betty Lou Cornelius

Bettie Lou Cornelius lived her entire life in Matagorda County, with the exception of residing in Australia for three years. She was a full-time mother of nine, MeMa of 19 grandchildren, and Great MeMa to 19 great-grandchildren. She loved all her children very much.
Bettie Lou battled heart problems and Alzheimer’s disease, but we could always find a smile on her face. She joined our dad, Leonard, in Heaven on June 16, 2014. We know she is smiling and enjoying her memories.
On behalf of the entire Cornelius family, we are deeply honored for this recognition of our mother. We especially want to thank Dirk, Travis, Shane, Cliff, Nathan and MeMa’s grandson, Rick, for working so hard to put on the Texas Trio Classic to honor people like our Mother. Your generous hearts are truly appreciated by all of us.
